Skip the Scale
You've heard it a thousand time and more, I'm sure - but, for some reason you just can't seem to let it go. Scale weight has always been 'the' measurement associated with a person's weight loss and often even their other healthy efforts. Even in my own business, while getting on the scale is necessary, I try to sway from the importance (for most) and try to focus on inches and body fat percentage, yet the scale provides a quick number that's easy to compare.
But what does this number really tell us? Does it say anything about your health or well being? No, not really. It won't tell you how much fat you're carrying or how much muscle you may have put on. It doesn't tell you how dehydrated you might be or if you in or near your menstrual cycle. There are so many important factors that play a role in your scale weight that it just cannot identify. Which is why it's so important (especially for women) to use more than the scale to measure the results of your efforts. Schedule a Success Session and let's see how your body composition is REALLY changing. Keep strong, keep focused and best success!
